The Gamma Phi Lambda Education Foundation was incorporated on September 30, 1987 as a domestic nonprofit company in California. The purpose of the Education Foundation is to provide scholarships and support the academic development of youth in the Bay Area.

The Education Foundation regularly partners with the Gamma Phi Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. on programs and events to raise money for its efforts. To date, the Education Foundation has awarded more than $100,000 in scholarships to deserving students in the community.
